Cheapflights Media hails Momondo German "Which" win

After nearly a year since joining the Cheapflights Media Ltd. stable, Momondo continues to win industry accolades. The latest is from Stiftung Warentest, the prestigious German independent product and services review equivalent of the UK’s “Which”. They compared Momondo’s fares for fifteen flights with those from eight other flight search engines in Germany. With an average fare of 196 Euros, Momondo emerged as the winner in the comparison test.

Stiftung Warentest’s comparison test took into account different methods of online flight booking, distinguishing between “online travel agencies” and “price search engines”.

Criteria included lowest price, filter options for search results, the possibility of booking multi-destination flights as well as other services. Momondo is also one of the few providers who automatically include train connections in the search results as an alternative option to flights.

This award follows Momondo being voted by Danish consumers and national travel trade as the “Best Travel Website” award at the prestigious annual Danish Travel Awards last October. Already a leading Scandinavian site, Momondo is also emerging as a significant player in Russia and Germany as well as the UK. In the US, the respected travel Guru, Arthur Frommer has just rated Momondo as one of his ten ‘Most Useful Travel Websites for 2012’.
