Abbey Hotel & Villa Magdala scoop two awards at Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards 2016

Winner of the Customer Service Award - Highly Commended General Manager of the Year

The teams at sister hotels Abbey Hotel & Villa Magdala, Bath are celebrating a double success at the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards 2016. At the ceremony held at Hilton Olympia on 18 October, Jean-Luc Bouchereau, Assistant Manager at Villa Magdala, won the prestigious Customer Service Star of the Year Award while Andrew Foulkes, General Manager at Abbey Hotel, was named Highly Commended General Manager of the Year.

Ian Taylor commented “We are thrilled for Andrew and Jean-Luc to have been honoured with these awards. It is brilliant for their commitment and dedication to our guests to be recognised. They both work tirelessly to ensure that guests at Abbey Hotel and Villa Magdala enjoy the best possible experience and inspire the hotel staff to do the same.”  

This year’s Boutique Hotelier Awards introduced the General Manager of the Year category – a hotly contested category with nine nominees. Among stiff competition, Andrew Foulkes was awarded a Highly Commended accolade. Since his appointment at the Abbey Hotel in September 2014, Andrew has established himself as a brilliant General Manager. He was particularly recognised by Boutique Hotelier for his infectious enthusiasm and approachable manner.  

Abbey Hotel is set on North Parade, moments from Bath’s most historic sites and home to Allium, Igloo and Art Bar for events, drinks and dinner – an enviable address in the city and a destination in itself.
