Brighton Sales star scoops award

The sales manager at one of the UK’s most famous sports grounds has claimed a top award.
Kathy Taylor, sales and marketing manager for the Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events team, which manages conferencing and events at the Amex Stadium Brighton, saw off competition from her counterparts at venues across England to win the Area Director’s Award at Sodexo’s sales and marketing awards ceremony.

The annual sales and marketing conference and awards dinner is held by Sodexo to recognise the contribution made by its sales teams to the growth of the business.

Kathy scooped the top award following a highly successful year for sales staff at the ground – home to Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club – in which they delivered a record year for cash sales and achieved new levels of client engagement.

The award ceremony took place at Dundas Castle, West Lothian, Scotland and was attended by more than 50 sales managers, general managers and directors from Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events teams around the UK.

Following a three-course dinner, created by award-winning Prestige Venues & Events chef, Tom Beauchamp, the awards were presented by former Northern Ireland international footballer and Cowdenbeath manager Jimmy Nicholl.

“Kathy has driven a hugely proactive team to achieve significant improvements over the years and ensured the level of service delivered at corporate events has been second to none, so it’s great to be able to reward her and her team for all their hard work,’” said Natasha Carr, UK Venue & Events Marketing Manager, at Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events.
