Gleneagles named Best Hotel/Resort in the Today's Golfer Awards 2016

The Gleneagles® Hotel has announced it has been awarded the title of Scotland’s Best Hotel/Resort in the Today’s Golfer Travel Awards 2016, retaining the title for the third year running.
The Today’s Golfer Travel Awards are renowned within the industry and recognise the best courses and hotels in the world, as voted for by their readers. The Gleneagles Hotel is proud to be continually favoured by golf lovers as Scotland’s best 5 Star luxury hotel, golf resort and spa.

Gleneagles’ Director of Golf, Gary Silcock, said: “We are delighted to receive this award which reflects our industry-leading reputation in golf.  Our success is also testament to the outstanding quality of our hotel and resort facilities and the dedicated efforts of Gleneagles staff – who are committed to providing guests with the highest possible level of service.  We’d like to thank all those who voted for us in the Awards.”

Golf is at the heart of Gleneagles, home to three championship golf courses and proud host of the 2014 Ryder Cup. Guests can tread the same turf as legends on the PGA Centenary Course, designed by esteemed golfer and course architect, Jack Nicklaus.

Dating back to 1919, the James Braid designed King’s Course predates the hotel and has certainly stood the test of time. The natural beauty of the Queen's course is an inspirational battle of wits for anyone in love with the great game, and the PGA National Golf Academy provides coaching and skills training for all levels, a focal point for both today and tomorrow’s golfers.

Gleneagles is proud to remain at the forefront of Scottish golf and in 2015 kick-started the Gleneagles Foundation, a scholarship programme that will support and develop the next generation of Scottish golfers. In 2015, the hotel was also awarded the honour of hosting the Solheim Cup in 2019.
