Having launched its Budapest route in July 2014, Pegasus Airlines has been named Best Newcomer Airline 2014 in the low-cost category at the 8th Annual Hungary Aviation Awards.Continuing to rapidly expand its international flight network, Pegasus Airlines has been named Best Newcomer Airline in the low-cost category at the 8th Hungary Aviation Awards marking its rapid success since launching its Budapest route in July 2014.
At the awards ceremony, which took place at Budapest Airport’s long-established Terminal 1 in the presence of 300 guests, Pegasus Sales Manager, Burcu Alin said: “Since July 2014, when we launched our flights to Budapest, we have flown 23,000 guests to their destinations. With our Budapest – Istanbul flights we are investing in both the Turkish aviation sector as well as strengthening the economic and cultural ties with the Budapest market. With our affordable fares and large network, we anticipate that more guests will travel between Budapest and Istanbul and beyond in the near future. We thank all of the guests who travel with us.”

Pegasus connects Budapest to a total of 38 destinations in Turkey and beyond via Istanbul. Destinations from Budapest include 20 destinations within Turkey: Adana, Alanya (Gazipasa), Ankara, Antalya, Balikesir/Edremit, Bodrum, Dalaman, Denizli, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Izmir, Kayseri, Konya, Malatya, Nevsehir, Samsun, Sanliurfa, Sivas and Trabzon; and 18 international destinations: Almaty, Bahrain, Baku, Beirut, Bishkek, Doha, Dubai, Hurghada, Kharkiv, Krasnodar, Kuwait, Mineralyne Vody, North Cyrprus, Omsk, Sharm El Sheikh, Tbilisi, Tehran and Tel Aviv.
