The Awards, held at Sunderland FC’s Stadium of Light, showcased the highest quality experiences on offer in the North East and saw the region’s top tourism businesses compete in a total of 15 categories, including Business Tourism, Sustainable Tourism, Tourism Event and Access for All..
The category of Large Hotel of the Year was judged on evidence of best practice in all areas of business operations, such as staff training, customer service, accessibility, innovative marketing and promotion.
