drpgroup MD Dale Parameter named IoD West Midlands SME Director of the Year

Dale Parameter, drpgroup managing director, has been recognised at the annual West Midlands Institute of Directors Awards, held at Edgbaston on the 5th June, 2014. Parmenter was announced as Small Medium Enterprise Director of the Year with judges distinguishing his leadership of the drpgroup throughout what proved to be the most successful year in the company’s history.

The IoD Awards assesses candidates based on a number of key factors related to business success. Growth, turnover, employee retention and strategy are all taken into account with the drpgroup’s addition of 27 new team members, 57% growth and 13 new client wins all scoring highly. Successful directors are also measured by dedication to their team with the group’s health and wellbeing initiatives and dedication to CSR all notable factors in Parmenter’s success. Judges were also impressed with the group’s continuing drive to diversify and stay at the forefront of the industry with the acquisition of Grosvenor TV & the launch of the new drpexhibition division singled out for praise.

Parmenter commented on his award shortly after the ceremony saying, “I don’t see this as my award alone, although it’s a great honour to be recognised in such illustrious company and by such a renowned association as the IoD. I see this as an award rewarding the hard work and dedication displayed by each drpteam member throughout the past few years which has driven us to where we are today and delivered the exceptional results that made 2013 our record year.”

As a result of this award, Parmenter is automatically entered into the IoD’s National Award scheme which will name the UK’s best directors in October this year. Entrants will be drawn from each of the IoD regions with Dale representing the West Midlands on the national stage.
