Twenty and Juniper scoop top accolades at industry awards

It’s official!  Edinburgh’s newest destination restaurant, Twenty Princes Street, and cocktail bar, Juniper, are ‘award-winning’ venues!!  They’ve both made a real impression on the food & drink scene since opening last Summer and have become firm favourites with locals and visitors to the city; and both have beaten off stiff competition to bag a haul of trophies.

Twenty scooped the top award as 'Best New Restaurant in Scotland' at the recent Scottish Variety Awards 2014 and was also ‘Specially Commended for Food & Drink’ at the prestigious Scottish Hotel Awards;  whilst sister bar, Juniper, bagged the national ‘Rising Bar of the Year’ and also ‘Bar of the Year, Edinburgh & Lothians’, with General Manager, Martin Scott, picking up a ‘Management Gold Medal’.

Commenting on the awards, General Manager Martin Scott said:  “We’ve been open less than a year so it is a massive achievement for Juniper and Twenty to be recognised in this way by our industry peers.  To take home this many awards is fantastic and a reflection of all the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm of my team.”

Twenty and Juniper are located at the Royal British Hotel on Princes Street, part of the Newcastle based Cairn Hotel Group, which owns over 20 properties across the UK.  The launch of Twenty and Juniper were the first phase of a refurbishment of the Royal British Hotel by the Newcastle-based Cairn Hotel Group.  Work on the second phase is reaching completion and the hotel will be re-launched and re-branded towards the end of this year.
