Aquarias Spa at Whatley Manor wins ila Therapist of the Year award for the second year running

Sarah Hickman from Whatley Manor Hotel & Spa has won the ‘ila Therapist of the Year’ award, taking on the mantle from her colleague Jodi Chivers who won the inaugural award last year.
22 year old Sarah, who has been at Whatley Manor since 2011, received specialist training from ila in order to be able to deliver the treatments and was instrumental in introducing the ‘beyond organic’ ila facials that were launched at Aquarias in January 2014.


Commenting on the news Sarah said, “I am delighted to keep the award at Aquarias Spa. I didn’t think I had a chance as the standard was so high and I’m really grateful to ila for honouring me with this title. I get a great sense of personal satisfaction from hearing the positive feedback from the guests who have experienced the new ila facials. This recognition, combined with the journey that has led me to winning the award, has given me a new sense of confidence, I feel very proud”.  

Denise Leicester, founder of ila went on to say “Sarah is a shining example of the consummate ila spa professional and exudes an inner serenity. The healing benefits of the ila treatments are translated through her calm approach, extraordinary for a therapist of Sarah’s age”.
