Maverick Aviation Group to add to world’s largest EC130 helicopter fleet

Maverick Aviation Group, a leader in the Las Vegas air excursion industry, recently ordered 50 EC130 T2 helicopters, a new product from world-class helicopter manufacturer, American Eurocopter.
The EC130 T2 is the next evolution of the ECO-Star helicopter, which is also created by American Eurocopter and is the exclusive helicopter choice for Maverick Aviation Group.  The Las-Vegas based aviation corporation uses ECO-Star helicopters for their safety record as well as their use of quiet technology.

The purchase of 50 EC130 T2 helicopters is significant as it is the launch order for this new aircraft; the companies have signed an agreement for Maverick to purchase 10 EC130 T2 helicopters with the option for 40 more.  The new helicopters should arrive in Las Vegas beginning in late 2012.

The spacious EC130 was initially designed for the tourism industry and its spacious cabin can comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers. The EC130 T2 brings a more powerful engine that provides improved fuel efficiency and an increase in maximum weight that can be carried.

Eurocopter also included several upgrades to increase passenger comfort that include an active vibration control system for a more comfortable ride, an improved air conditioning system, an optional right-side cabin sliding door, plus other cabin and interior improvements.

“Our goal is to offer our clients the safest and best service possible,” said Greg Rochna, chairman and CEO of Maverick Aviation Group.  “We continue to choose the EC130 ECO-Star product because it is made for the tourism industry.  With the enhanced performance and technology improvements of the EC130 T2, we can continue to provide our customers with the best helicopter excursions possible.”

“Maverick is a leader in the tourism industry and they have chosen the EC130 T2 as the aircraft for the future of their helicopter fleet,’ stated Marc Paganini, President and CEO of American Eurocopter.  “Greg and his team have proven that they know the industry and they have a customer-first culture.  At American Eurocopter, we share the same focus and we look forward to continuing this strong relationship we have developed through the years.”
