Alan Newton, Global Supply Chain Director, Grass Roots HBI, believes that so far this year, the European hotel market has seen both winners and losers around rates and that after seeing a large dip in meetings activity before and during the Olympics, there will now be an upsurge in events for Q4 and 2013.

MasterCard Worldwide and eNett International have signed a partnership agreement which provides innovative payment and reconciliation solutions for the travel industry through the use of Virtual Account Numbers (VANs). The partnership aims to facilitate high volumes of global payments over a 5 year period and sets MasterCard up as the exclusive payment partner for all eNett VANs generated in Europe.

As part of its silver jubilee anniversary celebrations, ABPCO is hosting its first event dedicated to in-house PCOs on September 25th, hosted by the Wellcome Trust, London. Focusing on networking and ‘How to make the most of LinkedIn’, the event brings together a total of 25 of ABPCO’s own in-house PCO members with other Association buyers from across the capital to network and discuss best practice with world renowned speaker and LinkedIn expert Bert Verdonk, sponsored by Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB).
