Travelport and Air Botswana sign full content agreement

Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry, has announced the signing of a new global full content agreement with Air Botswana, the national carrier of Botswana.
Effective immediately, the new multi-year agreement provides all of Travelport’s Galileo, Worldspan and Apollo-connected travel agents worldwide with access to the carrier’s full range of published fares and inventory.

Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry, and the rapidly-expanding Statesman Travel Group, have announced the successful migration of Commodore International’s business travel division, which was acquired by Statesman in October 2011.

DCI Study reveals top international meeting locations and meeting planner perceptions

London, Barcelona, Paris, Singapore and Hong Kong Rank as Best Countries for International Meetings

Development Counsellors International (DCI) have announced the findings of a survey of meeting planners which reveals what places are perceived to be the best locations for international meetings while also profiling best practices for securing those meetings.Conducted by DCI, "Winning Strategies in Destination Marketing" is the first study of its kind to be released in the United States, which analyses the perceptions of North American meeting planners with global meeting planning responsibilities.

Peter Ducker to step down as HBAA Executive Director

Peter Ducker, Executive Director of the HBAA, has announced that he will be stepping down from the position following the Association’s AGM on 11th January 2013.
A founding member and passionate advocate of the HBAA, Peter was the Association’s first Chairman in 1997 and has overseen many key initiatives during that time.
