GTMC Q3 transaction figures show small decrease

The GTMC, the UK’s leading professional industry body representing travel management companies, has published its third quarterly 2012 transaction survey. The survey monitors a range of services offered by travel management companies and highlights trends in the business travel sector, with overall transactions for the period July – September 2012 showing a small decrease of 1% over the same period last year.

Hotels association toasts awards, achievements and awareness

Bali Hotels Association (BHA) last night celebrated a year of achievements and milestones as its Board of Directors addressed a cocktail event held at Royal Beach Seminyak Bali resort.
The past year has seen BHA’s education and scholarship program reach its tenth anniversary: most alumni are now employed in the hotels that sponsored them. At the same time, the year saw an impressive 23% decrease in plastics usage in BHA member hotels, noted Jean-Charles Le Coz, BHA chairman.

ICCA celebrates 50 years of international meetings excellence

ICCA launched its 50 years anniversary campaign at the closing session of the 51st ICCA Congress, which took place 20-24 October 2012 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
ICCA’s anniversary celebration will last through the year and will end with a big bang at the 2013 ICCA Congress in Shanghai, China-P.R. The launch unveiled a dedicated logo and website, an interactive history timeline, with pages where ICCA members can share their ICCA Congress memories, social media campaigns, and video interviews with dozens of members.
