The Appointment Group acquires The Ultimate Event Company

The Appointment Group has completed the acquisition of The Ultimate Event Company as part of its strategy to focus on long term business growth by offering a broader range of services in both the UK and USA.

Established in 1989, The Ultimate Event Company is a full service event management consultancy and is a leading name in corporate events. It has an enviable UK and international client list and has been actively seeking an opportunity to join with a larger progressive agency in order to grow and expand its service offering.

The new combined business will be branded ‘Events By Appointment – The Ultimate Event Company’.

Managing Director of The Ultimate Event Company, Sue Martineau, commented: “As part of The Appointment Group we will be better able to compete for new business with global, multi-service organisations. We feel that The Appointment Group offers us opportunities to extend our portfolio and offer a broader range of products and services to our clients as well as providing the critical mass required to pitch for procurement-led projects.

“The combination of The Ultimate Event Company and the existing Events By Appointment team creates a substantial new force in the sector, with the resources to deliver full service events worldwide. We are looking forward to working with a highly experienced management team who are just as ambitious as ourselves.”

Maurice Veronique, Chief Executive Officer of The Appointment Group, added: “For several years, The Appointment Group has been looking for a highly professional and experienced management team to develop our events business. In Sue Martineau, Sam Robson and their team, we feel that we have found the ideal partners to drive our events business forward. The acquisition of The Ultimate Event Company will allow us to realise our global events vision and the combined business will offer our clients a 360 degree event management solution.”
