Gray Dawes Travel issues white paper on carbon emission reduction

Leading independent travel and expense management specialist Gray Dawes has produced a special white paper in support of Green Office Week that runs from 14-18 May 2012.
Green Office Week is an annual awareness week that aims to encourage workers across the country to make small changes to their working and travel habits to positively impact the environment.

The week raises awareness of key green issues, providing office workers with the practical advice, tools and help they need to create a more sustainable way of working.

Produced by Gray Dawes, the white paper, ‘Tackling the Green Issue Together’, provides a step by step guide for companies on how to measure greenhouse gas emissions plus hints and tips on how they can introduce good practice to reduce emissions over time.

One key tip from Gray Dawes’ Marketing Manager, Louise Joplin is “Encourage employees to use alternative forms of transport that are kinder to the environment. For instance, travelling by train instead of air significantly reduces emission levels. A journey from London to Paris by train uses around 22kg of CO2 against 244kg of CO2 for the same journey by air – a significant saving.”
