Star of the hit show The Apprentice is making waves in the event industry

Miriam Staley, a finalist from the first series of The Apprentice, has put her entrepreneurial skills back into practice and launched a bespoke speaker bureau providing speakers and experts for a range of high profile companies.

‘At its most basic MakeWaves places inspirational, compelling keynote speakers into conferences, events and leadership development forums. Our aim however is always to go a lot deeper than that, and by taking time to understand your longer-term desired results, we will propose not just a speaker for your event, but additional services which will help you reach your objectives, faster’ says managing director Miriam Staley.

Miriam’s success on The Apprentice has allowed her to excel in a range of roles including Head of Sponsorship & Hospitality and Head of Partnership with the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games for Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets which have contributed to giving Miriam a firm foundation and deep understanding of clients' requirements for events.

MakeWaves is a preferred supplier for one of the UK’s leading communications and experiential events agencies. Logistik Group Founder and Managing Director Dirk Mischendahl said, ‘MakeWaves works for Logistik because of the bespoke service that Miriam offers. The recommended speakers work with clients to deliver the key messages businesses want to engage their audience with’.
